flowers are brighter
across the highway and
sweet hive stories
ends a bee’s day when
slammed on
a windshield
and I be
no longer a bee

the last thing passed through my mind was
the end of me

a headache
and gone

when rain came
I washed away
into mother’s loving arms for
my eternal stay

no flowers and
sweet air
just
light
everywhere

I like this piece... I had to write something for a contest once where the prompt was a honey comb, I didn't win, actually the poem was pretty cheesey, but ever since then, I've had a soft spot in my heart for poems and songs that include "bees". Lovely work!
