I AM ASKING EVERYONE TO BRING WIND CHIMES WHICH I WILL HANG IN THE TREES ALL AROUND THE POND. IT WILL BE A PLACE OF REMEBERCE AND A PLACE TO GO FOR COMFORT. WE SPENT MANY STARLIT NIGHTS AND SUNNY DAYS AT THAT POND. SHE LOVED IT THERE. AND AS WEIRD AS THIS SOUNDS THE ONLY THING IVE WRITEN ABOUT WHAT IM GOING THROUGH IS A SONG IN HER HONOR SORRY WONT LET ME POST IT HERE. If the below poem suits your needs, please feel free to read it during your memorial. Also, please do not hesitate to change it to make it more personal for you and your loved ones. There is no need to give credit to me or mention Thoughts. These words are a gift for you to use in the way that means the most to you and yours. You can use any part, change any of the words, or even decide not to use it. My greatest and sincerest condolences for your loss.

Take care,

Trish

There is Heaven Within the Wind

There is direction in the wind

and energy in each chime,

the clarity of sound resonates

into vibrations of those who watch over us,

those whose lives continue

in another world, on another plane.

There are spirits among us,

the transitions of life emerge in its current.

If I had the choice of a place to call my own,

I too, hope to someday make my home

within the wind.

There is Heaven in the wind

and its splendor overwhelms,

so perfect in the Springtime

when breezes feed all that is green

amongst our memories and our souls

as if to see out, to surround us in warmth,

to be comforted and protected.

All this exists in the softness

of the chime’s tones that sail

within the wind.

There is direction in the wind,

since mortality exists

and during our lives

we witness this mortality.

We witness struggle and strength.

We witness pain and perseverance.

We learn, grow, experience

and with an open heart

we witness what will remind us

and make us most human.

There is Heaven in the wind.

There is beauty beyond our senses.

There is glory on earth to behold.

There are those who make their mark,

whose purity and spirituality

influence all who bare witness

to their humanity, their mortality,

their greatness in the resounding ring

of the chimes as they whisper

from within the wind.

Robert, my humble condolences for the loss of your loved one. It seems one of Thoughts finest has risen to the occasion and had written a beautiful eulogistic poem per your request.

Stunningly beautiful poem @tlhopkinson. This was obviously written with a heart full of spiritual reckoning. I can't think of a more fitting and perfectly articulated gathering of words for such a request.

I am very honored to have contributed to the ceremony and thank you for sharing your experience with us here on Thoughts. Words have a way of finding the path to where they are needed most. Opportunities such as this don't arise that often and I am grateful to have been a small part.
