leaves of trees near a park bandstand

listen to poetry and music all summer long

paints a masterpiece on frost’s demand

Birch and Maple bare against faded land

orange and red in a gusty wind-song

leaves of trees near a park bandstand

they waited for their return to the land

and transform into soil danced on

paints a masterpiece on frost’s demand

snow covers leaves with pastels of wonderland

wood quietly waits for summers bloom

leaves of trees near a park bandstand

a painter with a steady hand

hung a painting in his northern room

paints a masterpiece on frost’s demand

cycles of weather ripple to the land

people in the park sing and play until

leaves of trees near a park bandstand

paints a masterpiece on frost’s demand

Bravo @c4a1g ............ I really loved the background of this one.............. and the thought of leaves swirling in the fall wind "they waited for their return to land." Wonderful way to capture a seasonal moment............. My favorite line is in the last stanza........ "Cycles of weather ripple to the land." I greatly enjoyed this poem.................

I guess you can call this impressionistic poetry.  Good work.

Amazingly written once again! The concept of all that the leaves might experience or be able to share while being bystanders is also extremely clever and artistic. I think the repeated line would have to be my favorite as well-it is definitely poetry in itself!
