Looking into the glassy pool,

Trusting faith more the fool,

Looking back all for all to see,

An empty soul and lonely me,

Looking deeper what's inside,

Broken spirit and dead eyes,

Splash of fingers ripples blend,

Just like that the vision bends,

Distortion brings out very best,

Something not like all the rest,

Shockingly the lost smile comes,

Pain and anguish quickly undone.

Really nice deep rhymes! The descriptions tie in nicely with the dark and painful feel of this. My favorite line is "Splash of fingers ripples blend.."

Great opening stanza lines, visually, and the connectedness of it, is a really good poem :) , light and dark, powerful imagery throughout.

Perfection; my greatest strength and weakness.

Thank you both for such praise. I'm glad I finally wrote something good.
