Trial and error seem too real,

And triumph is so faraway;

Yet still you go through this

Cycle from day to day.

Sometimes you have to break,

Sometimes you have to fall

Though you try and you strive

And you give it your all;

Sometimes you’ve done your best,

Yet still your world crashes down

And forces you to your knees

Where you hit the hard ground-

Sometimes you have to quit,

For you’ve really had enough;

Sometimes the world is just too much

And sometimes it’s just too tough.

Yet still you try to be your very best,

The only one you can be;

You fall and you sink and you crawl,

Yet you let others see

You are giving it your all

And being the best you

You can possibly be.

Aww, I like this. It's got great sentiment! The fact that it rhymes reminds me of Dr. Seuss a bit here... he had many inspirational type stories. My very favorite is something that was put together after his death entitled My Many Colored Days

Yet another example of why I dub @SerenaLantha a thoughtful poet................ I cannot recall reading a simpler poem that creates such strong concept of feeling.......................... IMPACT! My favorite of all creations................ You have done it in a rhyme and I love that! I imagine you can read this aloud with a great deal of passion.................... Perfect ending.............. I greatly enjoyed this.
