My eyes are blind, but I still see the pain.
I watch cruelty pass from one man to another.
A child to a child, a father to his son, or his wife.
My world revolves around every passing sorrow,
and I hurt inside for those who need help the most.

What do you say, to a child who lost his parents?
What do you say to young lady who was raped?
What do you say to those who have no way out?

I wish I could tell you, but no one can understand pain that they have not lived.
I can never justify the way the world has wronged you, just as you can't justify the way the world has wronged me.
I can't explain to you, and you can't explain to me, but maybe it's not even necessary.
Maybe you just need a friend.

The distance is far, but I'll find a way, if you find the time.
I want to be there, when the world falls over you, so I can understand,
and hopefully provide that little bit of comfort.

What do you say to the paralyzed?
What do you say to the sick?
What do you say to the poor and the homeless?

I wish I knew, but no one can understand pain they have not endured.
I can't perform miracles, I can only say I care,
and maybe, just maybe, I don't need the perfect words.

There is no wrong time to do the right thing, no wrong person to give a smile,
and it's never too late to make the right choice.

Their may not be a cure for every ailment, a home for all the homeless, or redemption for everyone who's ever been hurt,
but what I do know, is that no matter who you are, you can make a difference. You might think that YOU are the one who needs help,
but why not give giving a chance? The caring will be cared for, one way or another.

Everyone needs a friend, someone who really cares, someone to love.
When the sun sets to rise again, walk into each day knowing you're chance to change someone's life can be simply moments away.

“I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious”
