a feeling of satisfaction that is. Sit in an office long enough and regardless of what you need to accomplish, the mind wanders. Mine wanders in the direction of art. Poetry, paintings, pictures............ Things that stimulate the senses and offer feelings of satisfaction to the mind................. Fielding phone calls, studying demographics, scheduling meetings.................... All caustic and corrosive actions committed by the mutually mundane............ I’m now on auto pilot........... Anyone talking to me today gets the canned response from the communication port in my CPU............ Wouldn’t we all rather be someplace else? Stimulating our senses or at least knocking back some happy hour laughs with friends? I digress............. My tie is strangling me and I feel compelled to eighty six the day and opt for a do over............. “Don’t worry about giving me an office with a better view.” .................. “I’m outta here!” Tie, jacket and stuffy shirt gone for some casual and functional gear that goes with riding............ It’s been too long and I suffer sensory deprivation... Lack of art............ Lack of active stimulation........... The wind in my face. The sound of my bike thundering through the cuts of the Laurel mountains.............. Something unknown that I seek and I know not what it is but must go in search of........................ Guess I’m leaving early today....
Ciao

Atta-boy Bill!

I am a man with one distinguishing manner. I view life as a nonstop roll by circus. Whatever my senses signal to my brain, it is received as humor.

Listening to this completely DULL conference call - third one today, ugh, came across this fabulous finger painting artist... http://www.irisscottfineart.com/default.asp

Not to mention... next week is the Utah Arts Fest! Four days of my favorite things to do... I'm so ready, like last week.

The Arts Fest here is a big deal... only second to Sundance Film Fest. Smithsonian sounds awesome too tho. I love the museums in DC :). Try not to catch too many bugs in your teeth :).

Both festivals sound like a blast................ No bugs, I have a windshield on my fairing.............. My day was going awesome.......... Got on the bike and went to meet a couple friends for happy hour............. Had a nice ride there........ Ordered drinks and found I'd lost my wallet! I need to consolidate. I carry a money clip to work and a wallet when I'm riding............Hammered back to the gas station I stopped at on the way to the bar and it wasn't at the pump.......... Walked inside and there was a little girl standing in line with my wallet. I stood behind her while she turned it in to the woman at the counter. The little girl handed the lady the wallet and turned to leave and I asked her to hold on a moment. She looked frightened till the lady checked my DI and gave me my wallet back. I handed her fifty bucks........ I'm sure her mom's happy.......... Looked like she bought some candy mom said no to...... Back to drinks and a rain storm when I left...............Yay............ Oh well might as well take tomorrow off to detail my baby...........

Great wallet story! I'm proud to say my kids would have done the same thing.

I'm sure your kids would indeed have turned the wallet in @tlhopkinson  ........ I sure as hell wouldn't want to endure the wrath of the Iron Princess for pocketing a found wallet...... Oh no. Best just to give it up......... That honest kid saved me a boatload of headache............. Driver's license, credit cards, bank card, VAcard, BCBS cards, NRA membership card, ABATE ID,  Employee ID card, concealed weapon permit................. not to mention money......... good to know there are people doing a good job raising their children in today's crazy world.
