It felt good to take some me time this am................ Up early and out on the deck with my friend at my feet enjoying the warm morning breeze and just doing nothing........... Savoring the ebbing feeling of waking up given to me by a strong cup of Colombian bean.......... Light rain starting to fall giving me the urge to come inside and read........... Read people's Thoughts........ Felt good to slow down and not plan anything.......... Not have to do anything............ But somewhere in the back of my mind lurks the Million Things To Do Monster............. You know the little SOB that urges you to do what needs done and keeps you from relaxing......... He'll be urging me to cut the grass when the light shower passes.............. Then I imaging he'll remind me to trim and do the hedges............... He knows I've been wanting to pressure wash the garage doors and prepare the downstairs fireplace for burning this winter........... Then when I've finished my own list I've a friend that has a broken leg......... Load the mower on the trailer and go cut his grass......... Off to the local home improvement store to pick up a door for my sister.............. Damn MTTD monster. The little prick really knows how to prioritize my life on the weekend these days............. I really just want to hang out but know that should I do that I'll feel the crushing weight of guilt that monster places on me when I slack................ So see ya later Thoughtsinc................ Was nice to visit..................

The most valuable thing is the giving of me time. Appreciation is more pleasing than a paycheck..... I think.....

Not sure how appreciated me giving time is but I've decided to pat myself on the back and "work" from home this week. Working the hours you do Bob I'm sure you know all about burnout....... I'd much rather be on a boat catching tuna............. Or a beach catching rays (and a buzz).......... Or just staring at a remote part of the world with 0 people around.................. But it's a nice day today................... Cool fall air early this am going up to mid 70's today and I'm outta here! Thanks for the props....................

Bill, I feed off large crowds. If I could live in a condo on the strip in Vegas and bullshit with people at the BlackJack table for the rest of my life, I would be happy. I've been everywhere I want to go and this would appease my desires completely. Conversations with every type of person from every walk of life. People will tell you more about themselves at a BlackJack table than on a doctor's couch or in a confessional.

I would have an endless supply of material to write about. Understanding the drive and motives of the human spirit is my crack. Don't know why I enjoy it so much, I just do.

Being alumnus of the Wickedly Cynical and Sort of Twisted University I opt for a few friends in a local pub over the crowds for obvious reasons.............. Your "crack" is shared by many Bob and is a unique trait to those inquisitive souls patient enough to deal with people on a candid level in any environment......................... If I lived in a condo on the Vegas strip I can well imagine I'd acquire a habit for something to dull the senses x10................... Ocean............. Mountains...... Tranquil environments are what I seek............. Not to say I don't enjoy the happenings at a festival or public gathering occasionally but full time forced interaction with John Q Public may find me in a padded room in short order.................. What drives the human spirit? Maybe places like Carnegie Hall........... Fenway Park....... Skid row........ Iraq......... Places where there are an abundance of emotions and desires other than greed.............. Though I have to chuckle at the thought of you living in Vegas................ I'm sure you'd make an enterprise of it........... FORGEWRIGTHS BBQ & SNOWBALLS............... You'd pack em in like mad dogs Bob given the planning it takes for a meal in Vegas these days......... Then you'd have a never ending flow of subjects to converse with............ And kudos for being such a social individual that you should care to converse with people to see what their motivation is. My own reckoning is that most are hiding deep feelings of hatred, perversion, greed and so on that wouldn't surface during a conversation at a black jack table...............

I have recently scheduled myself some me time... I drop off my daughter at dance for 2 hours on Friday and instead of racing home do other stuff, I go to the coffee shop near her studio and get this... I READ! It's awesome :). I order a cup of green tea and sit by myself in a completely empty coffee shop and read. Yup, fabulous stuff folks!

Bill said....My own reckoning is that most are hiding deep feelings of hatred, perversion, greed and so on that wouldn't surface during a conversation at a black jack table……………

These days people don't bother to hide such habits. No one is held accountable for their actions in public. You don't dare call someone on their behavior.(Except for you Bill.) Freedom is the ability to act like a total jackass these days. It was suppose to give a person the opportunity to work hard and build a life that follows a dream.

I had my own business for decades and accomplished my goals, but found I was not happy with my accomplishments because it only led to financial gain which led to the wheelbarrows of cocaine I labored over which also led to droves of warm and loving women interested in the same pastime, which I also labored over. Throw in some Tequila and a swinging chandelier......

What was I saying..???  Oh yea....

A book and green tea works...

Ummm okay ............ I guess................ A tad bit off topic and I'm just assuming that the sugar is peaked again Bob. I'm not quite sure how I'm the exception that gets to call people on their behavior but I'll go with it............. Since you've said it's so Bob and I like my newly clarified position of human behavior notification cleric (lol I had to make it something holly sounding). I'd like to put a flag on the behavior of the people in MO that took to the streets in droves and wrecked the businesses of honest, hard working people that had nothing to do the incident that initiated their atrocious behavior.............. Which was a cop shooting a man................. Oh it was a race thing. So sorry............ No wait........... Didn't the same scenario play out in Utah in reverse two days following? No looting.......... No vandalism........... No outcries of racism............... Oh sorry I forgot the oppression people endured pre 1865. And the segregation that continued post that time........ I'd also like to call some more folk on their behavior....... Those being the one's beheading journalists in the Middle East........... Has anyone called them on their behavior yet? Then I wish to do so......... Consider yourselves "called on your behavior" douche nozzles........ Cause we can't have that shit going on............ Some folk be butt hurt bout that stuff happenin........

And Bob said... freedom is the ability to act like a total jackass these days. I'm inclined to ad to that. No it isn't............. Freedom is still the ability to live without the constraints of a tyrannical government (unless you consider ours to be so). People just act like jackasses on their own accord and our society has evolved into one where some people accept asinine behavior. But beware folks........... Now that I know it's okay for me to call you on your behavior...... It is okay isn't it Bob? Imma call you all out should you do something unacceptable........ Wait it kinda feels like the media does that........... Oh well Imma do it anyway at least till I'm appointed a new position.

Here's an interesting thought........... Wouldn't it have been interesting if @Forgewright could have sat at a Blackjack table with Adolf Hitler Pre 1933? And again with Saddam Hussein in 1979? Hell while I'm at it Osama Bin Laden pre 9/11/01........... I've no doubt Bob that should you have conversed with any of these guys post work on a Tuesday there'd be a lot more Jews in Europe, Iraqis in Iraq, and the WTC's would still be standing in NYC.............. Wheel barrows of cocaine, droves of women, Tequila and a chandelier? "Say hello to my little friend!"

Sorry but as HBNC (Human Behavior Notification Cleric) I feel obligated to post this. Consider yourself called out masturbating lady!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/09/karen-dilworth_n_5791538.html

People wasted police man hours, tax payer dollars and this woman's valuable time (she could've spent on her motorcycle). If the thirteen year old boy that saw this were left to his own constraints I wonder what he'd have done should he been allowed to continue to watch? Sorry for my insensitivity folks. Female masturbation is a horrible crime and all women no doubt suppress urges to rub one out on a motorcycle.............. Stop it ladies! Hey wait I have a motorcycle........ And a wife.... Ruh roh........ Rey Raggy.......... Relp!

Your first post put me in mind of C.M. Coolidge paintings of Dogs Playing Poker.

Dogs-Poker1-630x472.jpg

I erased the rest of this post explaining my views on these men. Conspiracy theories just bring people down and upset the population. The end results of their actions validate their eradication. Stomping out the attacks on innocent people is a must but we must find understanding of the root cause for the actions in the first place.

An uncontrolled agency or government will be fraught with the deaths of the innocent. A well played chess game that ends an opponent with out anyone knowing how it happened.

Some citizens of Japan were certainly not concerned about the war with America. They were figuring out how to feed their family or how to educate their children to improve the worlds understanding of love and compassion. How many people were bent down planting food in their fields when their existence was ended.

What system do we live in today that is so perfect that we need to force it down the throats of everyone on the planet? For several hundred years we have dictated how people should believe. Giving to other countries under the guise of helping when really offering a payday loan at rates so high they could only default and lose their resources to greedy politicians. Their own ignorant greedy leaders succumb to the chess masters and the innocent paid with their lives.

For two centuries we've been playing a giant game of Whack-a-mole. Oppression breeds tyranny unless that tyranny is successful then it is heroism or patriotic.

If a sect of a country is unhappy with the state of their government and leave to find their own system but where they go is already being used by another culture, it is wrong for them to kill those inhabitants just to have their own place. As Americans we stop such oppression now that we have taken our own place.

I have no first hand knowledge of such oppression in other countries. I see what is on the news. I am probably one of the most misguided ignorant fools to come down the pike. History shows us in advance what happens if we don't learn from our mistakes. We flick over peoples flags and make martyrs that bring about followers that pick up those flags and are privy to new technology a thousand times more destructive.

We say,"No you can't live that way," and squash them but offer no better way. We've seen starving children on tv for the last 50 years as someone cries while asking for donations. They are worse off now. They are thrown a crust and the rich get the bounty. Keep them starving and dying and there's a buck to be made.

Tap them on the left shoulder and when they start fighting with the wrong guy cold cock them on the right.

I am the master of instigation so I recognize it. There are heroic acts performed everyday in hopes of a better tomorrow, but these are overshadowed by an unstoppable greed. We cannot control our own gov as it storms around the world controlling others in the name of freedom. Those that have nothing to lose are to be feared. The enemy no longer stands on the battlefield. It has evolved into a cancer that lives inside us. Now we will have to kill our own to rid us of it. A form of kemo that leaves us weak and easily defeated.

Your stupid so you have to die. Now instead of one maniac we have hundreds. It doesn't matter to kin as to why you killed them. They only know you killed one of their own. I'm a Hatfield...believe me I know.

I love those paintings...................... I can recall one being sold some 8-10 years ago for a ridiculous amount of money........... Nearly $600k............ Funny how something so innocent and straight forward during it's inception as a cigar ad could turn into such a valued commodity.......... If you are eluding to symbolism of doggy doppelgangers of Freemasons and all the hoopla of the meanings of the paintings forget it.......... Masons that I associate with don't play poker at the local lodge. We do however donate time and money to local charities not in the name of the Masonic lodge but rather in the name of local citizens that care about our community............... Conspiracy theories are just that.......... Theories....... I do however agree with your last two paragraphs and know being a vet you have first hand knowledge of our Gov't. I feel no guilt for what our Gov't has morphed into......... I served my country without questioning........... I vote.......... And I support local constituents that have a good mind for what our Gov't should be but is not.............. Not saying I don't care what we do in the rest of the world, just that I'm okay with my part in it past and present................. Maybe we should all ride a goat LOL..............
