We have so many other lovers

and it's such a joy to be free,

sometimes I hope that you remember

just what you mean to me.

I learned from you to love myself,

and in myself I found

the world could fit inside my heart,

yet always hold you sound.

So dear, let's make this day about us--

our sweetness, you and me,

and marvel that we've come so far

from fear and jealousy!

Yes, I'm getting something out of this all-encompassing trip.

This is a very unique approach to Valentine Day! The message is still lovely, and your lines and rhymes flow so wonderfully. I enjoyed this!

I also thought the rhymes made this poem flow very well. I loved the second stanza, is powerful, deep, and exceptional expressed. Nice work!

I really like all the different perspectives of Valentine's day that were presented in this contest because love is different for everyone.

Perfection; my greatest strength and weakness.
