  • It’s been quite some time since I’ve logged on to Thoughts and am saddened to see that it has turned into a spam fest. There were/are many talented writers here that had written some of the best poetry I’d ever read. I’d like to think those writers are continuing their work elsewhere.

At the point that I stopped logging on things seemed to be…[Read more]

  • Hey Thoughtsinc…………. One of our own V.I.P’s (Very Important Poet) has a birthday today.

Happy birthday @tlhopkinson and thanks for the many wonderful poems. Thank you too for the laughter and camaraderie. It’s nice to know that somewhere on our planet, some place in our lives that such an awesome person exists………. Would not the…[Read more]

  • Bravo @serenalantha ………… Sharp imagery here with awesome comparisons that offer clarity of life and death……. The beginning offers such truth. No matter what we obtain in life an how big the home we live in is we all get buried in the same size box……… Personally I can’t help myself though. I live by the ‘He who has the most toys’…[Read more]

Ah Jack The Ripper……………. I’m thinking that his/her legacy would live and die in London mate. In that nothing concrete was ever brought forth as evidence to the whereabouts of the famed slasher…….. Key word being concrete…….. Just plenty of speculation by the minds of the times and we all know how that goes……… Personally…[Read more]

  • A friend and I carried on a discussion about the  possibilities of where my cellphone landed when it hit the bottom of the Atlantic. We also discussed how marine life may view the strange addition to their environment. This discussion in no way, shape or form came close to what I just read above and we were drinking Bourbon. I felt as if I…[Read more]

Thanks Bud…….. I miss the 35mm days. I never lost a camera. Taking a picture of a fish needs to be done while they’re in the water. Tuna change color after they’ve been gaffed and dragged on to a boat and have a fading look to them………

Cell phones……. Do you remember when cell phones became popular and affordable? They were…[Read more]

@serenalantha there was no one that got away in so far as the fish were concerned. It’s in the freezer………….. My priorities are straight…… Just my Samsung Note went to that idiom old mariners dubbed Davy Jones’ Locker……….. I’d like to think a Great White now has the capacity to stay in touch with friends via Samsung…[Read more]

Welcome to Thoughts @lisalei ………….. And thank you for sharing such wonderful poem. Great writers are often distinguished as much by what is not written as what is……….. You have a very unique style and the way that you ended the second stanza gave this poem a punctuation of sorts and did indeed create impact…………. The statement…[Read more]

  • Kudos mate for a great poem………. Glad I visited to read, enjoy and “Add my stitch to what I pride.”  Hope all is well in Jolly Old England and this reply finds you in good spirits…….

“Stitch your poetic meaning with a needle of life’s long thread.”  Great line with impact……… Shows the versatility of @craigb12 ………  Stay warm…[Read more]

  • Bravo @serenalantha ………… This poem is outstanding…. The beginning sets the tone and is a lure to the rest of a wonderfully written and colorfully descriptive bit of………….. magic. Absolutely incredible painting of a dark, stormy night in a grave yard as seen through your eyes. “As heavy onyx vapors mask indigo cirrus…[Read more]

  • Reading this is as close as a human will ever come to knowing the mindset of a duck…………. A myriad of great lines abound in such a wonderful poem. Amazing how you think and process @c4a1g………….. Youthful writing with the skill set of an ancient philosopher and biologist it seems…………. And pilot………… Vortex…………[Read more]

  • Busy for sure here…….

In response to the lack of activity I’m thinking just from a common sense standpoint that this forum is for the members that join……… Moderators are a support mechanism and should not be relied upon as a main body for posting…….. People join and then simply do not post for one reason or another. I don’t…[Read more]

  • A trip to the local watering hole last night set me to thinking about the American vernacular. Cursing in particular……… having studied language I can honestly say I’d never considered the actual need for cursing. I am however guilty as charged for incorporating curse words in my vocabulary.
But not to get into my own engagements with foul…[Read more]

  • Life is about discovery. Unfortunately some things we discover are unwanted. Unneeded. And often times just a pain in the ass. Last night I discovered that I wasn’t going to be able to close my eyes and sleep. Fourteen hours of work yesterday had endowed me with the inability to clear my mind of the days statistics, figures and just about verbatim…[Read more]

  • In wishing everyone at Thoughtsinc a happy and healthy Thanksgiving I wanted to take a moment and reflect on the harvest that the word and holiday mean. I hope you all have as much to be thankful for in your lives as I do. I’ve truly been blessed with a wonderful life. Not always easy but bountiful. And I find that when I pay attention to the…[Read more]

The togetherness of our sweaty palms,
made me walk with a nervous gait.
I liked the way it made me feel,
    Shaky legs and all
I know you felt it too.
My new Bob Wolf’s made me feel real fast,
and I wanted you to know that
    It just seemed important somehow.
    You were taller than me,
but I didn’t mind at all
    I knew I’d grow.
    You were just my…[Read more]
