(Dreams are strange, don’t be offended by what you read, it was only a dream.)

Gene and his wife Ellen, were driving in the country one summer morning.

It was an exceptionally beautiful day, a bit cloudy but warm, with a slight

cool breeze. It was their fifth wedding…[Read more]

    PROLOGUE

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have been born an identical twin?

Two distinct individuals, but an exact copy of each other; just think of all the fun you could have fooling and confusing people. And even if you were not born a pair of bookends, you may just have somewhat of a duplicate out…[Read more]

@uniquelylost I haven’t been around for some time, so I was looking at the contest archives what I found was really surprising!
Has anyone seen the September contest 2012 on my story ”one stormy night” ? this is weird!

  • It’s been quite some time since I’ve logged on to Thoughts and am saddened to see that it has turned into a spam fest. There were/are many talented writers here that had written some of the best poetry I’d ever read. I’d like to think those writers are continuing their work elsewhere.

At the point that I stopped logging on things seemed to be…[Read more]

History is learned, no more as a lesson
We are merely Cain and Able
    A brother slain in jealousy
Then one but now in numbers
The land and all its creatures wild
    Keepers turned to landlords
    Her loins and bosom taken
    Torn by the rapist fist
Lost children abandoned by their morals
    Given stones to throw
A disease we try to understand and fail to cut…[Read more]

  • You see, I am not dead but

I was abandoned in a smog

Made out of goals not my own—

    I cannot see, cannot see

    This bright future before me.

    A plethora of prism blood

    Gushed out of my soul

    And onto lined paper,

    All within margin—

We wouldn’t want a mark taken.

    Hurried, words and colour mix

    One into the other…[Read more]

  • Hey Thoughtsinc…………. One of our own V.I.P’s (Very Important Poet) has a birthday today.

Happy birthday @tlhopkinson and thanks for the many wonderful poems. Thank you too for the laughter and camaraderie. It’s nice to know that somewhere on our planet, some place in our lives that such an awesome person exists………. Would not the…[Read more]

  • This winter has been crazy where I live, at one point if you opened the sliding door in my breezeway (the room connecting the house to the garage) there was a 10 foot wall of snow and a 2 foot gap between the snow and the roof where you could see outside. Actually had to climb up on the roof to shovel for the first time ever (which was no…[Read more]

  • Bravo @serenalantha ………… Sharp imagery here with awesome comparisons that offer clarity of life and death……. The beginning offers such truth. No matter what we obtain in life an how big the home we live in is we all get buried in the same size box……… Personally I can’t help myself though. I live by the ‘He who has the most toys’…[Read more]

Ah Jack The Ripper……………. I’m thinking that his/her legacy would live and die in London mate. In that nothing concrete was ever brought forth as evidence to the whereabouts of the famed slasher…….. Key word being concrete…….. Just plenty of speculation by the minds of the times and we all know how that goes……… Personally…[Read more]

  • A friend and I carried on a discussion about the  possibilities of where my cellphone landed when it hit the bottom of the Atlantic. We also discussed how marine life may view the strange addition to their environment. This discussion in no way, shape or form came close to what I just read above and we were drinking Bourbon. I felt as if I…[Read more]

Thanks Bud…….. I miss the 35mm days. I never lost a camera. Taking a picture of a fish needs to be done while they’re in the water. Tuna change color after they’ve been gaffed and dragged on to a boat and have a fading look to them………

Cell phones……. Do you remember when cell phones became popular and affordable? They were…[Read more]

All together Now….(Score from ten little Indians)

Oh a boat and a fish and a phone went sailin’

a boat and a fish and a phone went sailin’

a boat and a fish and a phone went sailin’

That’s what you get for having personal possessions and not living off the land as god intended.
